VR AND DESKTOP TRAINING

Train operators before they touch the machine

We build custom VR and desktop training apps around your equipment and procedures. Operators and technicians can practise the task, repeat the procedure and be assessed against the required steps.

Practice your instructors can review

We use your CAD and procedure references to model the parts trainees need to recognise and handle. The model responds to their actions where the lesson calls for it. The task determines the level of detail.

Perform the procedure

  • Trainees inspect, clean, connect or operate the equipment as the task requires.

Practise with guidance

  • Trainees can follow the correct sequence, then repeat it in free practice using your equipment and procedures.

Assess each step

  • Your instructors help set the pass/fail criteria. Review completed steps, errors and session results.

What you receive

  • A working procedure with the interactions and assessment rules set out in your project plan.
  • An app for the selected device: standalone Quest 3, PC VR or desktop.
  • The packaged application, the content files listed in your contract and setup documentation.

Designed and built by Muhammad Faisal at a prior employer, which held those client contracts. Shown with portfolio permission.

Datacenter operations training and exam

Delivered by Simvra: Simvra designed and built a training and assessment application for a global cloud provider. The assessment system was used for a datacenter hiring exam. The 2024 build ran on Quest 3 standalone.

Pilot or full program

Pilot

  • A pilot covers one equipment package, one working procedure and one device, with a 2-5-week build. We review the available CAD and plan the instructor reviews with you before confirming the price and starting work.
  • Additional scenarios, platforms and reporting integrations are scoped and priced separately. At the end, you receive written findings and a proposal for the next stage.

Full program

  • If the requirements and full scope are already clear, we can quote the full program directly.
  • Your quote covers the scenarios, equipment, assessment and devices you need. A typical program takes 6-14 weeks.

Practical questions

Share your equipment references or CAD and the procedure or SOP. We'll also need access to a subject-matter expert who can check the steps and assessment criteria. Before we start, we'll choose the device with you and plan the review schedule.

No. A desktop version uses a mouse and keyboard. For a dedicated VR version, we can build for standalone Quest 3 or a headset connected to a PC. We'll help you choose the version that suits the task and where your team trains. Extra versions need separate development and testing.

We can include SCORM or xAPI reporting where required. We'll confirm which results you need and test the connection with your learning management system. This integration is not automatically included in the entry pilot.

Your instructors check the procedure and scoring against the real task. We decide with you which results the app will record. To judge whether the training helps, test it with your trainees and compare it with your existing training results.

You own the commissioned content and assets named in your agreement. Standard Unreal delivery includes the packaged application and documentation, with a perpetual licence to use the delivered version within the agreed scope. Simvra retains its pre-existing and reusable software, frameworks and tools. Full editable project source is not included as standard. Any source requirement must be assessed and agreed before we commit to the main implementation. See the engagement and ownership terms

Scored sessions let you review how people are doing and see whether the training is being used. Optional train-the-trainer sessions help your staff run it themselves. You'll still need to make time for training and review how it is used.
